The camp is designed to get our skiers prepared for our Conference and Invitational schedule by training on larger and steeper slopes than at our home resort. Our goal is to have a blend of drills and course work to build upon each skier’s individual strengths, and to challenge them in their areas of weakness.

7:00 am Meet at Caledonia HS to carpool north.
---Eat breakfast on the way north
Arrive at Caberfae around 10:00 am, unload, get dressed and ski as a team until the South Peak opens around 11:30.
11:30—1:00 GS Skis---We will train on GS skills in the morning.
· Carving drills and balance drills while the coaches are setting a GS drill course on Gigi’s Ride (where Regional GS course will be)
· Course work with timing on Liberty
· Goals---Good Starts, early turn initiation, proper stance (low tuck , high tuck and balanced athletic stance out of tuck)
· Tear down course at 1:00
1:00 to 2:00 Lunch in the lodge on you own (you can bring it or buy it, your choice)
2:00 -4:00 Slalom training on Liberty (Regional Slalom site)
· Drill work will focus on stance, edging and rotary skills
· Set one—10 by 3 rhythm course using stubbies for first half of course to emphasize pole planting and full gates for the second half
· Set two—single course with standard set (including hair pins and flushes) with timing.
· Tear down course at 4:00
4:00-5:00 Team Skiing---free skiing on South peak to learn the terrain changes on Liberty and Gigi’s Ride. Work on individual skills (time for additional one on one work with skiers)
5:30 meet in the lodge, pack up and head out.
Eat supper at Culvers in Cadillac before driving to the “Chateau Petrosky” at Higgins Lake. 404 Grouse Trail, Roscommon MI
* Snacks and games and/or movies in the evening (feel free to bring one of your favorites).
